Who am I....
My
name is Nora Geijp, webmaster and owner of a large restaurant in
Los Cristianos, Tenerife south. My
husband and I decided to move from Holland to Tenerife 9 years ago
to start a business here and a new life, learning a another language and
different culture.
Naturally we found a lot off differences. Meanwhile we overcame
the problems and now we know more about the way off life this
includes, work,
businesses, buying and selling houses, and how to get all the
papers require to live in Tenerife. I want to share these experiences with people who
might be thinking about coming to Tenerife. With this website I want to
share with you a real
picture of the do´s and don'ts. All the information and pictures
you will see on my website are from my own experiences, I have
also included useful information which I found from websites, from
Tenerife and Spanish
authorities.
I
have been asked by a many people, whether my life here is better,
I always say the same thing, NO not better but totally different
there is no comparison .
After
living here for 9 years I think I can tell you that there is a big
difference. The first first thing you will notice is the mentality,
there is a motto here that everyone uses which is
Mañana ( tomorrow ), mañana (tomorrow) and you you will need to
learn to live with it as it is an everyday word. If you do not speak Spanish,
you will find it hard following the guidelines, this is why I have
started my own website to help you. The first thing you really
have do is think through your decision and find out everything you
need to know about Tenerife.
In the
following pages you will find all the information you will need to
know about living an working here. There is plenty of
opportunities on this great Island. The Island is a wonderful
place to either live or start a business. With this website my aim
is to reach as many people as possible who will follow "THEIR
DREAM" and come to Tenerife.
